National Waterways Museum, Ellesemere Port → Sutton Weaver Swing Bridge via Old Quay Monday 25th May 2026 | 13:00 – 17:00
Set Sail on this scenic four-hour cruise and experience the best of both industrial heritage and serene countryside. Departing from the National Waterways Museum in Ellesmere Port, our cruise takes you along the waterways to Old Quay in Runcorn, where the Danny once worked. Along the way, we’ll pass Weston Docks, still used today by coaster traffic, the iconic Runcorn Railway Bridge and Viaduct opened in 1868, and the Silver Jubilee Road Bridge - a 1961 replacement for the old transporter bridge.
Turning at Old Quay, we’ll head back to join the Weaver Navigation via Marsh Lock, arriving at our berth at the 1926 built Sutton Weaver Swing Bridge where our coach will be waiting to collect you to return you to your car at The National Waterways Museum.
